The State of Our State Conference 2015
With more than $1 billion budgeted for corrections, Arizona is like many other states dealing with increased incarceration rates and corresponding costs, prompting questions about possible prison sentencing reform:
- Are we incarcerating the right people in Arizona?
- What can Arizona learn from criminal justice policies being enacted elsewhere?
- What, if any, are the next steps for Arizona?
- ...and what is the role of private prisons?
Morrison Institute for Public Policy will examine these questions and others related to sentencing, incarceration and possible reform via publications, presentations and panel discussions by experts and advocates on both sides of the issue. Join us for a day of discovery, discussion and deliberation at the 2015 State of Our State Conference.
