The Intersection of Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice
Join fellow behavioral health and criminal justice professionals, advocated and leaders on October 1 for the SEEDS 2014 Conference!
This year's conference is designed for professionals in the criminal justice and behavioral health systems to identify and address key opportunities and challenges in providing treatment to those who are diverted from incarceration at the pre-trial stage.
Ultimately, the conference aims to increase the numbers of persons successfully diverted from incarceration while providing effective behavioral health treatment to rreduce recidivism and increase quality of life for individuals with behavioral health disorders by:
- Increasing the knowledge and understanding of both behavioral health and criminal justice systems.
- Identifying key opportunities and challenges in providing behavioral health treatment and support services for those who are diverted from incarceration.
- Dialoguing and determining specific action steps to build on opportunities and address challenges.
