JOB CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY
Positions assigned to this class are responsible for performing a variety of crime and intelligence analysis activities to include the collection, analysis, interpretation, dissemination, and integration of crime, staffing, deployment, performance, and other related quantitative/qualitative data in support of patrol, investigative, crime prevention, and Real Time Information Center (RTIC) operations. This position may be embedded in specific units, assigned to specific projects, and/or allocated to the Real-Time Information Center (RTIC).
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a fully qualified, experienced-level professional staff classification in the public safety support job family. Incumbent(s) perform the full range of support duties under general supervision. The classification requires solid knowledge of Law Enforcement cases and data analysis. Work may vary from basic to more complex duties and issues but is generally within expected parameters.
